Chivers Exhibition July 2023

The Chivers exhibition held at Histon Baptist Church over 3 days in July 2023 stands as a wonderful achievement for the society. It not only attracted a large audience but also served as the official launch for the Village Society's publication, "The Chivers Story."

The impressive turnout of over 1,700 visitors reflected the widespread interest and curiosity within the community regarding Chivers and Sons' historical significance. The event engaged a diverse audience, creating a lovely atmosphere of shared enthusiasm and appreciation for the local heritage.

An essential aspect of the exhibition was its charitable impact, with £1,732 raised for Histon & Impington Feast. The inclusive nature of the event ensured that individuals from various backgrounds and age groups had the opportunity to connect with the historical narrative of Chivers and Sons.

Moreover, the Chivers exhibition stands as one of the biggest projects the Histon and Impington Village Society has undertaken. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our sponsors, including the Heritage Lottery Fund, whose support made this event possible and of course all the volunteers.
